The technology in your PIONAIRTM System uses photocatalysis, which is designed to oxidize organic odors, germs, and fungi in an average room or office as rated on the module in use ( 350 sq. ft., 750 sq. ft., 1500 sq. ft., or Commercial.) Natural air purification is performed by the UV light rays of the sun and ozone, which is also produced by thunderstorms. This is why air smells so fresh after a thunderstorm. Ion generation occurs in nature from lightning and ultraviolet radiation.

The challenge with most air filters or purifiers is that air must be drawn to the unit, either through natural air flow, or through the use of a fan. This method results in uneven treatment and can leave pockets of polluted air, plus fans are noisy, subject to failure, and require higher levels of electricity.

Unlike most air purifiers, the PIONAIRTM  Air Treatment System doesn't wait for pollutants to contact a filter or plate. Instead, the PIONAIRTM  generates air-purifying technology that migrates through the area and neutralizes organic odors, microbes, and molds at their source. As a result, the PIONAIRTM  produces fresh clean air throughout your home or office uniformly, by addressing the pollutant source - without the use of fans, filters, or plates.The PIONAIRTM is especially effective against mold, mildew, organic odors, and chemical vapors (such as formaldehyde).

The PIONAIRTM is also effective against pollen, dust, pet dander, and smoke, although for maximum relief from these types of particulate, we recommend our new PIONAIR SMART POINTE system.For maximum effect, the PIONAIRTM is intended for around-the-clock use. The system consists of a base unit and a lamp module. Coverage area depends on the lamp module, which comes in four strengths: 350 sq. ft., 750 sq. ft., 1500 sq. ft., and 3000 sp. ft. (for unoccupied spaces only).

The lamp modules are interchangeable, giving you flexibility to use the system in various locations. There are no moving parts or filters to clean, and the system is as quiet as a light bulb!
